Nathaniel Larouche is the son of steampunk magicians. (No, really.) This Canadian VFX Supervisor was born and raised near Montreal, where he enjoyed being the weird kid, filming everything in sight, and experimenting with editing and stop motion animation. He studied computer graphics in Toronto and realized that VFX was a medium that combined everything he enjoyed: artistry, creativity, and technical wizardry.
By day, Nathaniel works his magic creating unique and visually captivating effects for some of the most acclaimed films and television shows. Among many others, he has lent his expertise to projects such as Watchmen on HBO, The Umbrella Academy , MR Robot , and The Witch.
By nightfall, he is hard at work exploring global creativity as part of collaborative projects. This has resulted in the production of some truly singular pieces such as Necronomicon, Baby Deer and his new short film series Sleeper System - works that can only be described as one-of-a-kind.
Most recently, Nathaniel has supervised the in-camera VFX for Star Trek: Strange New Worlds, Star Trek: Discovery, Beacon 23...and other productions that he's not allowed to talk about yet. (Sorry!)
